IMAHelps delivers a far higher return on investment (ROI) than most non-profit medical humanitarian organizations.
The reason is simple: IMAHelps has no paid staff and our volunteers pay for their own flights, food and part of their lodging while donating their time and medical expertise.
But while IMAHelps has no administrative overhead, we still have to raise $65,000 to $80,000 in donations each year to cover the cost of shipping donated supplies and equipment and to purchase additional medicines and medical supplies that we are not able to obtain through donations. We also use donations to help cover a portion of our food and lodging costs while we work overseas.
However, because our medical missions include volunteers from virtually every medical specialty, IMAHelps delivers an extremely high return on investment (ROI) of more than $100 for every dollar we receive in donations.
We’re quite confident you will be hard pressed to find another medical humanitarian organization that can deliver that kind of ROI on your donation.
Dr. Amy Alcorn, a Texas pediatrician, and her husband, Mike Rosenfelt (below right), joined IMA volunteers in Somoto, Nicaragua in 2010, along with their two children. They saw first hand what IMA volunteers do and how IMA uses its donations. They’ve been supporting IMA missions ever since.
