During our medical mission to Ibarra, Ecuador, which took place July 9th to 19th, 2009, IMAHelps volunteers provided medical care to 4,794 patients. These included 398 patients for internal medicine; 563 children for pediatric consultations; and 427 OBGYN patients. Our volunteer surgeons performed 149 surgeries, including 49 plastic and maxillofacial surgeries and 100 general surgeries. Our dental team treated 542 patients, while our pharmacy provided 1,847 prescriptions. Meanwhile, our prosthetist fitted 53 patients with artificial limbs.
